Dark chase

chapter 14

Kingsley weapons-making factory

It was peaceful today, at least there wasn't a tragic happened. Because of this, the sheriff could go to Kingsley guns-making factory to have a look what's going on. Bob, whose father worked in Kingdley guns-making factory, and him went to the garage where was beside his white and big house to take his Ford car.

The sheriff started the engine and drove off.

Time flies, it was soon when they approached the factory. It didn't get a big chimney on the roof top and he could say that it was short but long. Its wall was painted in golden colour. They marched towards the gate. It said ' Since 1932 '. ' Your father must have worked for a long time in the factory.' the sheriff deduced. ' Umm, you can say that.' Bob answered.

After they had entered the main gate, they walked slowly on a path which only took them one minute to reach the door. They opened the door and the sound of burnishing iron immediately sneak out though the small gap.

It was a really really big factory, the sheriff thought in shock. You actually couldn't see the end of the factory because it was too long. The workers were dressed in a specially made uniform. Bob said this uniform could prevent high compressing pressure, high temperature and the like. Bob also said that the factory wanted to stay in tradition, which meaned hand-made, but the development of the machines was too fast and the salary of workers were too expensive, so it changed since 1979.  It bought machines and hired a few workers ( 30 workers roughly) to run the machines.

When he was observing the factory's structure and running process, Bob's father came out. ' How glad I see you, son. And this is...' he said. ' Mr. Smith the sheriff, my boss. ' Bob's father's face was being stuck a golden paper, shining with delight. ' You are my son's hero, he keeps the news that you caught the criminals in the past. And it is super glad to meet you, Mr. Smith.' he pulled his hand out of his pocket and shook hands with the sheriff.

' What can I help you?' he asked politely, still in a bit excitement.

' I want some weapons and your son told me about you.' the sheriff responded.

'Did he?'  Bob's father looked at Bob as he talked.

 ' Yes.' the sheriff answered.

' Do you have the design of the weapons?'

' It's here.' he then handed the design of the weapons to him.' Can this be made?'

' Oh! Holy crab! Police using the bows to shoot arrows with holy water inside, this is so nonsense. And a stake with Jesum( Latin, in English means Jesus.) erected on it. What do you mean? Are you going to kill vampires like Dracula, it doesn't exist at all!'

' We are not going to kill vampires but , demon.'

'Oh, you belived in Christianity. You thought that we got devils and gods...'

' Hey! Dad, we need the weapons.' Bob interrupted.

' Anyway, though this is so preposterous, I would help you to make the weapons. I think the bows are not easy to hold so I will make a little improvement.' Bob's father gave them a confident smile.

' It is my honour to meet you.'

 ' Me too.'

 They shook hands again.

' Ah, what is the cost of the weapons?'

' Oringinal price, $7800, but I would like to give you a small discount. The new price will be $7000.'

' Thank you very much, and can you freight them to the police station? I will pay it.'

 ' Sure! no problem.'

Then, they waved hand and said goodbye. The sheriff and Bob walked slowly back to the door and left this place in burnishing sond.
