It was hard to believe!

     

       The waking bell had rung, now the policemen were gathering together. A policeman called Jay first said,' I reckon the sheriff would give us his final decision today, it will be stapled on the board outside his office.' Another policeman called Franco said,' Okay! Let's check it after we have had our breakfast.' Then, they walked toward the cafeteria and had their breakfast.

       They quickly had their breakfast and went to the sheriff office. When they got there, it had already filled with people. ' What the hell is the sheriff doing, he is telling us nothing.' one of the crowd bellowed. Then, the others nodded in agreement. 'Let's see what happen.' Jay said. They walked near the board and looked at the notice that the sheriff had sticked in the early morning.

     It was very hard to believe that Dark was a supernatural. But after that tree's event and Jack's words, I could not object what he had seen. So my last decision is, continue to keep track on Dark. We will soon see.

      ' Continue to keep track on Dark, what does he mean?' one of them called Perry questioned the others. ' I think he wants us not to pay too much attention on the words 'Dark' and 'Supernatural'' Jay deduced.' OK! so where did Jack and Tom go. They haven't been back for three days.' Perry stressed on the words 'three days'  so that some of them would follow him to say 'three days'. Jay looked up to the sky and said,' I don't know.'  Then, he asked himself slightly.' Where would they have gone?'

    After this piece of paper was handed to the sheriff. Silence had covered the police station, just silence. Their eyes were hollow. Their mouth zipped. The silence had continued for almost half a hour. ‘ I know him. I know Jack. He writes like this, I mean this style.' Jerry, a sergeant said. ' he is in my team.' Then, silence again.

 

    The day passed. The sun was shining when the waking-bell rang. All the police officers woke up with their eyes half open. They went to the cafeteria and sat down to have their breakfast. Usually, the sheriff would stay in his office with his cofee and bread prepared on his desk. However, he went to the cafeteria to have breakfast with the police officers, to ask them what they think about the piece of paper.

     ' Still thinking about the words?' the sheriff asked when he sat down. The police officers looked up and nodded. ' So what do you guys think?' the sheriff asked them again. They looked at each other and finally one of them broke this silence. ' Of course, I don't believe there is any immortals or supernatural. But I think Jack wouldn't make a joke unless it is not related to his work.' Jackie said.Then, Jerry said,' So you believe that we are facing a supernatural.'  Jackie shuddered,' I have no idea about that.'

    After half a hour of intense discussion. The sheriff noted some points and went back to his office. He would have to confirm that if the words were true or not. He would stick a notice outside his office on the announcement board.

    As Tom and Jack had called supports, the police soon arrived. They grabbed out their pistol and walked slowly and quietly to it. They hid behind a wall and started to pass signals to each other. Then they suddenly pointed their pistol to the alley but found no one.' So where are Jack and Tom, are they fooling us?' one of the police officer said.' They might be chasing the criminal.' another one deduced.' But they must call us, otherwise they were not responsible to their duty.' one of them corrected him. They were so confused like a snake without its tongue. They walked around in order to find some clues.

 

   'Hey! there is a small piece of paper.' a police officer exclaimed. ' Let's see what is written on the paper.'the leader said. They gathered around the paper and read the words.

 

 

I have found Dark and I couldn't believe the truth.  I think he is a mutant(DON'T CALL ME CRAZY). He can master a human by moving his hand. I think you guys face the supernatura

 

 

    ' What is a ''supernatura''?' one of the police asked. ' I think he wants to write the word "supernatural".' another police officer said with shivering voice.' I think someone wants to fool us. It is only a joke!' the leader said with a stiff voice. ' No, only the police knows this project is carrying out. There will be no one else knew there is a project named ''Dark".' They were all arguing until everyone was desperated to find the answer, so they suggested to hand this piece of paper to the sheriff.

chapter 6

 

first sight of  Dark

 

   It was evening, Tom and Jack were dressed in constable blue uniform. They were walking on the street. 'Do you still recognize the days?' Jack asked casually. 'What do you mean? The birds?' Tom asked.'Yes, of course. Have you ever seen so many birds flying in the sky and attacked the humans?' Jack asked curiously.'No, and they were so troublesome. Causing us ran everywhere to catch them. Some of our colleagues even hurt themselves. I assure that there will be a disaster.'

  
They walked along the street and suddenly heard a sharp scream not too far away from them. They came to a halt and looked at each other. They were both thinking the same: what was happening. 'Let's check.' Jack suggested. They ran to the where the scream came from and found a girl laid on the ground in agony.
  
Next to her was a man in black cloak. He was moving his hand and the girl gave another painful yelp. Tom was taking out his pistol when Jack stopped him. 'Don't be so impulse. We should get back-up.'Jack reminded Tom quietly.'But she will die soon!'Tom was a bit angry now.'Okay, you cover me and I will call the police to come here.'Jack suggested.'Good!' Tom said and took the pistol out.

    3,2,1, it was now. He walked out of his hidden place while Jack was calling for help.Tom took his first shot.'Aghhhhhh!' the man yelped and fell on the ground immediately. 'Gotcha!' Tom exclaimed. He was still feeling the thrill . However, the man then stand up slowly and gazed into Tom's eyes. 'It's for you!' the man said angrily. Tom felt that he was losing his consciousness. He couldn't stand it. He couldn't breathe at all! Then a 'bang', the man yelped. He threw  his cloak over the two men. After a second under the darkness. No one was standing or even existing. Only lamps were giving dim light to the ground and the sound of tree leaves and branches moving.

    Where had they gone? No one would ever know when it was the time.

chapter 5

 

birds made us sweat

   
      It was Tuesday. People were going to work just like usual. They were all trying to squeeze themselves onto the bus, minibus etx. and the children were getting up early to go to school. However, not everything was like usual. They seemed not to notice that there were very few birds today.Eagles were not hovering in the sky. The squirrels were not chirping on the trees. They were actually assembling in a country park which had very few people to come. A man was sitting on the long bench solemnly with his Dog in his arm.

     The man started to chirp and sing like birds and the birds listened quietly. Sometimes, they would turn their heads to face each other and nod. After the man had finished chirping and sing, the birds were chirping or shrieking or chipping. The man was sastified so he vanished with his Dog within a moment.

     All the people in the town were full of terror. The eagles were dropping down stones. The murderer crows were abducting the babies who were sleeping in their baby carriage comfortably. The smaller birds were pooing everywhere causing the crowd to run everywhere to avoid the disgusting poo. Some of them ran so brainless and they ran to the centre of the road. Then a crash, a car bumped into the rushing people. There were no ambulances to send the injurid people to the hospital so the people who weren't injured would lift them high and sent him to hospital.

     The government were senting the shooter to shoot down all the birds. However, it was no use at all. The birds were cunning , they directed the shooters to south and, they turned to the west suddenly. This caused a problem. One of the shooter paid too much attention on the chase which made him jumped off a cliff without notices. Soon, the police found his body. His bones were all broken and bloods were coming out from his mouth, nose, eyes. Another shooter also paid very much attention on the chase and he bumped into a wall which caused his nose crooked. The doctor claimed that he would smell nothing forever.

      The government was frustrated. All the workers in the government were thinking hard to solve the problem. They at first suggested that they could put some delicious bird-food in the cage to lure the birds. However, it didn't work at all. There were only six or seven birds flew in the cage and tried to eat the bird-food. Then, they locked themselves inside the cage. And the birds were now attacking people frequently. The government was beleaguered by the citizens'complaints. They had no choices but to send a notice to the citizens. It was written like this: Avoid to go out if it was not necessary, it would be safe to stay inside your home. All the schools would suspend the lessons and all the workers weren't allowed to go to work.

      Several hours after the government had sent the notice, people closed their shop's gate and went back to their home. Tourists were booking the hotels and all the hotels were full. The couples who wanted to have the honeymoon would have to choose another day.

      As the birds were always being scared or caught by the humans, they took this revenge. Soon, they lost their interest on taking revenge. So, they flew back to their nest and left the town in peace.
" I failed! I failed!"the man stomped on the ground and grumbled angrily  after he saw the birds fly back to their nest. "I would do it by myself next time!"

chapter 4

 

project Dark Chase

Police station  9:47 a.m.

     Seven people were in front of the counter in the police station. They were impatiently waiting for the cops to lead them to the room which was for their conversation. Of course, they came here because they eyewitnessed the terrible event that happened yesterday at night."Mavis Teevee." a  police officer asked with his eyesset on these people."Here."a man answered."Please follow me."the police officer requested. The police officer took out his working ID and placed it on the sensor, then the door opened. There was a long corridor with blue carpet on the ground. Everything seemed to be peaceful. However, Mavis Teevee's heart was pounding like a crazed hammer.He was now thinking, What if I said something wrong or something untrue, what if they thought I was the suspect of this event. Would they torture me? I was only seventeen and I had never been to police station. Just relax, I didn't do anything wrong. Just calm down.

     The police officer turned and opened a door then they entered the room. The room was bright. Its wall was laid with a large amount of celotexs, just like the studio room in his secondary school."Please sit on the chair."the police officer reqested with his finger pointed to the chair which was placed opposite his chair. They sat down. The police officer gazed into Mavis Teevee's eyes and asked,"What is the tree doing when you arrived?" "It was moving its leaves and branches. That is so scary..."

      While they were talking solemnly, the sheriff and the detective were watching them on a CCTV carmera. "Anything useful?" the detective asked the sheriff.
  "That stupid lad, he is saying nothing." the sheriff said. They turned their heads and continued to watch them.

       Thirty minutes had passed,and the police officer had interviewed all the eyewitnesses. Now, the detective and the sheriff were discussing about the words of the eyewitnesses. "They are all saying about how fierce the tree was, but that is useless!" the detective said with his head shaking.

       "I don't agree with you. I quoted a sentence. It is special, not same with the others." the sheriff said with his head buried in his notebook,"Oh yelp, he talked about a man in a black cloak who had been standing around the tree around two minutes before leaving. A minute after he had left, the tree began moving. You see, it is useful." The detective gazed into the sheriff's eyes and asked,"What will we do next?" The sheriff freezed and thought so hard. Finally, he said,"we have to chase him, even to the edge of the world, even if it's the last thing I do, time to initiate project Dark Chase..."
