Imagine looking at
a starry sky in the countryside, you will see many stars and the black canopy
of the sky.
A child from the city would say, " we
cannot see stars at night in city because of the light pollution, so I had no
idea the night sky can be so beautiful."
Yes, if we separate stars from the night sky,
it would become boring to look up to the sky.
The stars are beautiful not because of its
light or brightness, but through the contrast of the darkness.
The darkness of the sky is pure not because
of how deep the darkness is, but through the contrast of the bright stars.
The world needs difference.
However, in nowadays, some people think that
sameness is beautiful, and that's why many of them are getting a plastic
surgery in order to have a face like their idol.
However, this sameness, just like dull
darkness in the sky, without difference, without contrast.
There must be a reason why God made us unique,
and we are destined to follow it. Some people are beautiful, however, they
might be lacking in other areas. Perhaps your appearance cannot compete with
the others, what about your intelligence and your experience? For example, Nick Vujicic was born with no
arms and no legs, but then he was still welcomed by the public! Why? Because he
uses his experience of being different to inspire other people.
Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, “To be yourself in a world that is
constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.”
Without
difference, this world is not beautiful and interesting.
